Ask for the family’s help. Losing a limb is a crucial point in your life and you need all the help you can get. The presence of the family is enough to let you know that whatever you lost, you are still loved and wanted.

Exercise or go through therapy. If you go through exercise or therapy, it can bring positive benefits in your body. It can strengthen you and it can improve your endurance. Even if you lost your limb, you should take care of your body. Exercise can help you regain your function. Give time for exercising.

Talk. Whatever you are feeling, do not keep it inside. Talk about it and let it all out. You can consider support groups. A conversation with another amputee can make a difference.

Go back to school or work. It is understandable if you want to be isolated because you feel unworthy and ashamed. If you always feel that way, your life will be a mess. It is better to face the world and continue what you are doing.

Coping with the loss of a limb is possible if you give it a chance.
